Some Unsettling News About My Precious…

I just got back from a business trip in Austin Texas and I have
some unsettling news.  I dropped my precious new iPhone.  I know
what you’re thinking, “First he broke his laptop, and now he’s
dropped his iPhone…what a klutz!”

Well, regardless of whether I’m klutzy or not, something great
came out of this latest technical mishap…and it has to do with
the power of the Fat Burning Furnace principles I teach, and how
your health can benefit immediately.  Let me explain…

I was taking a walk in downtown Austin during a break from the
conference I was attending, and my iPhone just slipped out of
the case it was in and crashed to ground.  Just after verbally
gasping at this troubling sight, I looked at the case and
noticed the clip had broken.  That is why the iPhone slipped
out.

Luckily, I learned that there was an AT&T store in downtown
Austin so I could get a replacement case before this happened
again.  Unluckily, I didn’t have a rental car, so I decided to
walk to the store instead.  Apparently, I’m not that good at
reading distances on maps.

What I thought was going to be a 10 minute walk turned into a 35
minute excursion…and that was just getting there.  On top of
that, I was dressed in a long sleeve shirt and jeans because the
room where the conference was being held was kept around 70
degrees.  But out in the Texas heat, I was speed walking for
over an hour in 98 degree temperatures.

Now, here’s the kicker.  Some people have written me in the past
and told me that the unique resistance training exercise we
perform in the Fat Burning Furnace system can’t possibly provide
enough cardiovascular benefits to make much of a difference.
Well, this is just another example why they’re DEAD wrong.

I perform no separate cardio exercise with any regularity
(outside of the occasional pickup basketball game), and yet I
was able to fast walk almost 3 miles in 98 degree heat, dressed
for winter, and by the time I got back barely felt it.  I was
sweaty and dehydrated from the heat, but my breathing returned
to normal within a couple of minutes.

So I’ll say it once again, you don’t need to perform separate
cardio if you’re using the FBF workouts for 15-20 minutes, 2-3
times each week.  These are the same workouts that are providing
stimulus to add lean muscle and strength to your body.  It’s
really that simple…and that powerful.

Want even more good news?  My iPhone, other than a couple of
small scuffs, came out fairly unscathed.  Okay, that’s really my
good news, but I’m so happy I wanted to let everybody know :-).

    Hey Rob,

    I am sorry to hear about your latest electronic issues. It is enough to drive a sane person batty.

    What I’m excited to hear is that you were able to do the ‘workout’ that you got in the Texas heat with nothing more than the FBF lifestyle practices. Kudos to you. That encourages me as I continue to move forward with your system. I was one of the doubters that it would be ‘enough’ to prepare me for those long weekend hikes with the scouts every few monthes without having to also do some walking practice as well.
