My Fat Burning Soup Recipe – Healthy, Filling & Tasty!

By Rob Poulos...

If you’re on a hunt for a program that will help you lose weight fast, you may have come across the fat burning soup diet plan.

This diet is going to severely restrict the foods that you are eating so all that you really eat is the soup and one other meal in the day, and in doing so, it’s supposedly going to really ramp up the rate of fat loss that takes place.

Unfortunately though, while the premise of the plan may be alright, the fact of the matter is that the soup diet is not going to provide nearly enough nutrition or calories for energy for what you need to sustain life, therefore is not a wise approach to use.

But, this doesn’t mean you shouldn’t consider using a fat burning soup.  The trick is to use the fat burning soup along with a well structured diet to take the edge off your hunger and help improve the results you see.

Let’s take a quick look at what you should know.

Adjustments To The Soup Recipe

The very first thing that you might want to consider is actually making a few adjustments to the standard fat burning soup diet recipe.  The smartest adjustment to make is actually adding a small amount of protein to the soup, so that when you do consume it as a straight meal, it’s far more balance and will provide your body with the nutrients that it needs.

While it’s great that the soup is filled with vegetables, if you don’t have that protein in there, you aren’t meeting your fat loss diet requirements.

If you like, also add a small dose of slow burning complex carbs as well. This will help to provide a bit more energy if you happen to be an active individual.

Forming The Foundation Of Your Diet Plan

Second, the next thing that you should do if you’re going to add the fat burning soup recipe to your menu is making sure the rest of your diet is up to par.

What you should do is ensure that you’re eating four to six meals and snacks a day and that each of those meals and snacks contains a main protein source.  Then add the complex carbs you eat closer to the morning and add a small amount of healthy fats into the evening.

If you do this and then add in the soup, you will be right on track to success.  The soup will work very well to take down your level of hunger so that you don’t experience nearly as many food cravings on the diet plan.

The Fat Burning Soup Recipe

So now that you have the facts straight for how to go about adding the fat burning soup recipe to your diet plan, let’s look at the recipe to use.  Note that some additional protein and carbs have been added to this recipe to make it a healthier and more complete dish.

2 16 oz cans ready cut tomatoes
1 large chopped onion
1 32 oz can beef broth
1 package dry onion soup mix
1 bunch celery, sliced
3-4 large carrots, sliced
1 large green pepper, sliced
1 large head of cabbage, sliced
1/8 cup Worcestershire sauce
¼ tsp ground black pepper
2 large chicken breasts
½ cup brown rice (minute rice)

In a small sauce pan, bring a few tablespoons of the chicken stalk to a boil.  Add in the chicken breasts, cut in thin strips, and stir-fry until almost cooked through.  Then transfer these into a large pot with all the other ingredients and bring to a boil.

Once boiling, cover and simmer for about 45 minutes, adding in the brown rice for the last 20 minutes.

So next time you’re thinking about any extreme fast weight loss diet plan such as the fat burning soup diet, make sure to think about it wisely and make a few adjustments as needed.

What’s “the chicken stalk”, mentioned in the above recipe?

    • James

It should be stock which would be the chicken broth mentioned in the ingredient list.

  2. Emma

What works best? Chicken or beef broth? Beef is in the ingredient list but chicken is mentioned in the method?

    Thanks
