I am using the best vitamins I can get and they are from food source.
My issue is that I took them for 15 years without an issue. Now when I take them my colin swells up and my rectum becomes irritated. If I stop using them I am fine but, then I have no energy to work out at the YMCA or ride bicycle for long distances. I am 51 years old and it seems as though my body is quitting on me. I have tried with the same results multi-vitamins from Mannatech, Reliv and even off the shelf vitamins to no avail.
I used the Reliv vitamin powder for 15 plus years. I can bike 50 miles when I take the reliv however, 1 or 2 days later I start reliving same issues mentioned above.
Thanks

Comment on Fat Loss = Excuses, Excuses, Excuses by Kevin Gianni

Rob,

Love this post! It's really all about choices that we make when it comes to looking and feeling great. Excuses only come when someone has a priority that is higher. So if someone's priority is going out to dinner, then there will be excuses around changing that behavior. Doesn't make them good nor bad, just priorities. The challenge comes when something else comes along that involves your health, then you have to reassess and figure out--for you--what is the most important.

Live Awesome!

Great article Rob! Thanks for your honest approach.

Excuses are basically limiting beliefs that people like to share with others so they don't look so bad when they aren't achieving their goals.

For each of those excuses you need to turn around and say, "What am I going to do about it?" You've definitely listed some great examples and yes cheesy poofs are expensive both financially and health wise ;)

The best way to overcome these limiting beliefs is to find role models. Who else do you know that's busy, tired, hates exercise... and has still achieved fat loss success by overcoming those challenges?

Follow their example rather than the 97% of the population that takes the easy route and lets the excuses become their reality.

Keep up the great work!

Comment on Do You Really Need Animal Protien To Build Muscle & Lose Fat? by Kevin Gianni

It's a myth that animal protein is needed to build muscle. What you need is amino acids which are the building blocks of protein. Luckily these come in plant based foods as well. Though they're not as densely compacted as in animal products, they're easier on your body to digest... that's good news since you won't over tax your system digesting meat.

Does meat make you fat? No. It's a combination of things that make you fat... lack of minerals and vitamins, combined with too much meat, combined with lack of exercise and a negative self attitude will get you there pretty fast.

I have to admit, since I changed my diet to a primarily raw, vegan diet I've lost muscle, but this is only because I decided I wanted to start running marathons instead of hitting the gym :-)
