Do You Really Need Animal Protien To Build Muscle & Lose Fat?

Monday, December 31st, 2007

Well, it’s happened again.  I’ve been taken to task by one of my
readers…called out, as it were, for recommending that you
shouldn’t focus solely on animal products as your main source of
protein-

Ants Ate My Fat Burning Snacks

Friday, August 24th, 2007

As you might know, I just got back from a business trip in Texas
a few days ago.  Well, after that iPhone episode, I was plenty
happy to be back…until I got home that is.

Put This In Your Fat Burning Arsenal Now…

Monday, August 6th, 2007

I was at a party over the weekend at a friend’s house.  It was
kind of a “deck party” of sorts, lots of food, drink, and a
great deal of fun.  Catching up with old buddys, that sort of
thing.

But the thing I want to focus on from the party was the beverage
situation.  There were several coolers available, each
containing different types of drinks.  A couple of coolers
housed varieties of sodas, another had diet sodas, another was
filled with wine coolers, and yet another was loaded with
various types of beer.

And then there was the lone cooler of water.  As the day wore
on, the other coolers looked as though they had been ravaged by
a pack of thirsty beasts, constantly being refilled by the host
and hostess.

Finally, A Nutrition Bar That Tastes Awesome!

Tuesday, July 17th, 2007

I just got word that the big day has finally arrived.  Yes,
that’s right, the new nutrition bar that the guys over at
Prograde have been working on was released to the public just a
few minutes ago.

They’ve been officially named “Cravers”, and based on early
taste tests, the name is more than ideal.  You can check out a
few videos of real people’s reactions to tasting these new 100
percent organic ingredient nutrition bars here:

Fat Burning Apple Pie?

Monday, July 9th, 2007

Here in the U.S., we’re in the middle of summer and recently
celebrated our country’s independence day.  I had a great time
spending a few days with my family out on the water in northern
Michigan.  Here’s a pic of me and my son that we took on the
trip:

Is Your Body Rejecting Vitamins?

Friday, May 18th, 2007

As you may know, I’m not “big” on most nutritional supplements.
In fact, after years of experimentation, I’ve come to know that
most of them are either ineffective, overkill, or just a waste
of your hard earned money.

And perhaps the most confusing of all supplements is the basic
multi-vitamin and mineral.  This is the one supplement that most
people recognize as being potentially beneficial to their
health, so it’s naturally the one that features so many choices
it’s almost dizzying.

Seriously, walk into any health food store, or any drugstore for
that matter, and you’ll see a ridiculous amount of choices for
one simple multi-vitamin supplement.  Which one is best?  Which
ones are garbage?  Which ones have too much of a good thing?
Which ones don’t have enough?  And the questions go on and on in
your head if you’ve ever searched for a good multi.

I Love Johnny Appleseed…

Sunday, March 11th, 2007

Yes it’s true.  I love Johnny. Johnny Appleseed, that is.  And
you should too. Why?  Well, simply put, our pal Johnny spent
most of his life establishing apple nurseries that covered a
good portion of the east coast in the U.S. and as far west as
Ohio.

And if you don’t know by now, apples are good for you.  In fact,
an apple a day may have actually kept the doctor away in Johnny
Appleseed’s era (200 years ago), though with the realities of
our food supply today, it’s not quite that simple anymore.

Still, you would do well to pay close attention to the
importance of eating apples, and regularly.  First off, their
high fiber content keeps you feeling full for quite a while
after eating, and this makes it a great snack or compliment to a
meal.  When was the last time you felt hungry after eating an
good sized apple?

How To Get A ‘Mapquest’ To Your Body

Friday, February 23rd, 2007

Did you know that a heavier person’s metabolism is most likely
running faster than a lighter person’s metabolism?  I bet you
didn’t, it’s not something that’s widely publicized, especially
by the purveyors of the latest diet fads.  A heavier person’s
body has to work harder to sustain itself than a lighter
person’s body, so the metabolism of the heavier person is
typically elevated.

Why is this important to know if you’re trying to lose fat, and
why don’t the diet pushers want you to know this?

Well, most diets call for cutting calories and various essential
foods.  If a heavier person goes on a typical diet, they’ll lose
weight fast
because their metabolism is running higher than the
average person’s metabolic rate.  Sounds good, and it fools you
into thinking that the diet is going to continue to work, but
there are two big problems here:
